News ~ Old news items have been placed in the archives. 07/25/05 I know, I know, we've been slacking off on the updates. We're sorry, baby. Who loves ya? Not that we don't have a valid excuse...the band has been engaged with a little out-of-town R&R (Pete was in New York visiting family and friends, and rocking out with Dream Bitches; Dr.X was down in L.A. partying with the beautiful people and making the rounds on the red carpet...let's see, one...two...yup, that's everyone!), and just generally busy. What more do you want from us, dammit?!?! Uh, oh yeah, the news: We'd like to start off by sadly informing any of you who took note that the show that was to take place tonight with us, Stormcrow, Aghast(DC) and Poser Disposer(Canada) has been cancelled due to lack of venue...we're pretty bummed out over it, since this would have been an awesome line-up, and all of us really wanted to see Poser Disposer tear shit up. All of you who stalk this-a-here interweb (thanks Brian!) should proceed to thier website stat. They rule. So check it. To those of you who are in the Reno area and reading this, they'll be tearin' up the Casa De Hardcore on Tuesday the 26th, so be sure to go represent. In better news, we'd like to thank all of you who have bothered to pick up our new 7". Scotty's been pushin' the shit out of it, and we can't thank him (and all of you who bought it) enough. If you'd like a copy, you can always track us down at shows, or you can use the purchasing power of the net (or snailmail) and get it through Tankcrimes Records. So go do that right now, and make us happy and bubbly. Other than that, well, I guess there's not much more to report. We're hoping to have this site revamped pretty soon (read: early 2006...maybe. We promise nothing.); it's really getting to be time for a face-lift. Also, we'll be adding some shows shortly, and we're still attempting to make it possible to purchase our merch via this website. We'll get there yet. We should have a new mp3 off of the 7" available for download here by the end of the week as well. So keep an eye out for all that shit, and this shit as well. C'mon, dude, that rules. I wish my dog would do that. 07/04/05 "Hey, headbanging douche bag...it's Independence Day; shouldn't you be getting tanked?" Well, maybe, but I'm not...yet at any rate. No ones ever accused us of being overly patriotic anyway. Still we usually don't pass up an opportunity to party. Ya know, none of this has anything to do with anything. So just ignore this bit. We just wanted to share part of the absolutly stunning review that a we got for a show we played in Oakland recently. What follows is an excerpt of that review in Elliot Lange's column "Zombie Picnic" in the most recent issue of Maximum Rock N' Roll, #266: "These two death-grind zombie-punching Ohio-to-San-Francisco transplants are one of those irritatingly virtuosic bands that can take the stage completely drunk and/or stoned and still play the most technically intricate and blazingly fast shit in existence. It's quite disheartening for amateur musicians and you'd think they'd be more considerate, but they make up for it by being super cool guys in person and on stage." Ya know, Pete was skeptical at first, but it appears that all the money we set aside for press kickbacks is paying off. Seriously though, there's more in that article, as well as all that other great shit you've come to expect from MRR. Go buy thirty dozen copies. Well, what the fuck are you waitin' for?!?! G'on and git! 07/01/05 Well, there's no need to waste time with bullshit and chit-chat...here's the news: The 7" is here and available! Holy Shit! Be afraid, those of you who own turntables. 7 tracks, including a cover of "I Don't Give a Fuck" by Abscess, all on translucent green vinyl with black splatter. To sweeten the deal, we've included a free badass Population Reduction patch, sticker and poster! Hand screened front and back cover art (as well as the poster art) courtesy of the one and only Knightrider of Doom, Becky Cloonan. We'll have this shit available at the show tonight at HazMat, along with all that other shit that we always bring, and you never want! As ever, none of this could have been done without the help of Scotty, head of our new home Tankcrimes Records. That ain't no shit, neither...we've spent so much time over there recently, I'm thinkin' about just leaving my dog there. Seriously though, make 100% sure that you catch Scotty, Ami, Jef and Athena when they hit your town on tour - Weapons of Thrash Destruction with Voetsek, Brody's Militia and Widespread Bloodshed! Not to be missed. Our 7" (along with a boatload of other awesome Tankcrimes Merch including brand new shit from Strung Up and Scurvy Dogs!) will be available from Scotty's distro on this tour too. Don't fuck around, he's got the best distro in the universe, despite having our shit to clutter it up. Well, we'll have ordering info on the Discography page sometime this week, as well as more shit on our ever expanding Links page. We've also added some new shit to the Shows page which you should have already clicked on. In fact, click on it ten times a day for the next year. We'd appreciate it. Also, be sure to buy the newest issue of MRR to read another glowing review about our shitty band! More on that to come soon. That's about it, I garner. We'd like to thank everyone who helped make this possible, especially Andrew, who has REALLY gone above and beyond the call of duty for this band and this 7". Eveyone else, buy the 7", and maybe you'll be on the thankslist! Hopefully we didn't forget you, but if you know us, you know that, well, memory was never our strong suit. In fact, I forgot what I was doing right now, so I'm gonna split. Word. | ||
