Hello all. Living legends Schnauzer are up for the Best Live Act in Cleveland award from the Cleveland scene, which is the local alternative paper out there. As many of you know, we came to SF from Cleveland, we've played with Schnauzer, and have long touted them as the best live act on earth, which encompases Cleveland. Please go to the following link:
Once you're there just click on the music awards link on the top, fill out the registration thing, and then vote for SCHNAUZER when you get to the Best Live Act category. Seriously, it'll only take a minute. The voting ends on June 29th at noon, so we'll leave this up until then. Now go vote, and then get off your fucking computer and go outside! Well, the show today has been cancelled. Of course, nobody bothered to tell us this until right before the show was supposed to start. We sincerely apologize to anyone who failed to get the word in time, and bothered showing up. ~ Population Reduction

It's that time again. Time to read more drivel as it flows (effortlessly, we might add) from our less than well manicured fingertips.
Really, we just wanted to remind everyone to come out to Warm Water Cove this friday at around 1pm. All the other bands and shit are listed on the shows page...there's no need for a link there; there's one just to left which you lazy asses can use. Seriously though, it'll be a great show (the shows there always are!) and we may just slip some Schnauzer tunes into the set in a bid to garner votes for them (just read that shit up at the top of the page). Something even stupider than that may happen, too. "Sounds a little bit cryptic, that does." you say, "Would you care to elaborate any you bloated, shit eating half-wits?"

Here we are. There is a lot of shit to say, ladies, so let's dispense with the pleasantries, shall we? Here's the news:
Mountain Party '04 was this past weekend. What could have ostensibly been a great weekend, and a great concept was completely ruined. "But how is that possible?" you ask, "Three days of camping, booze, and metal...how could that go wrong?" We'll tell ya. It can go horribly wrong if:
1) The "metal" part, in reality, consists of bands that play Motley Crue and Ted Nugent covers.
2) You are surrounded by HOMOPHOBIC, RACIST ASSHOLES ON ALL SIDES.
They will not be repeated here, but never in our lives have we heard so many racial and homophobic slurs in such a short amount of time. Pete even met these fuckers he thought were fucking hippies - they proceeded to put a song on thier stereo which was some old redneck singing the most racist song he's ever heard. Upon swiftly walking away, shouts of "ya-hoo! White and Proud!" could be heard. And, no shit, after that song what should come on but Muddy Waters doing "Mannish Boy," thus proving once again that all racists are fucking retards. Never fear, we are not now, nor will we ever be a "Political" band, but shit like that we just can't stand for.
Maybe we're making it out to be too harsh - the truth is that it was more along the lines of some bad apples spoiling the bunch...we did get to meet a bunch of TOTALLY awesome people there in the form of Camp Death Tribe of whom each and every individual was a credit to the species. Check that shit out, especially the radio show. Good folk into good music and good times, and that we certainly can and do stand for. They really saved the weekend for us, and we are grateful.
In other and much better news, we've added a few more shows...and speaking of shows, we could use YOUR help. Those wily fucks from Magrudergrind have a 3 day hole in thier tour...and we're trying, seemingly in vain, to help them out. If anyone out there can help us score a show in or around L.A. on August 29th, then we (and they) will be most appreciative. I don't know what we could do for you, but we'd owe ya big.
Alright ladies, this is dragging on, but it's almost wrapped up. We really just wanted to add that while we could care less about the death of Reagan, we were both very saddened at the loss of Ray Charles, a man who, frankly, can only be described as a real National Treasure. It may not mean much coming from us, but he will be sorely missed. ~ Population Reduction

Yeah, yeah, we know it's been a while. You're thinking "What the fuck? You guys haven't been playing many shows recently or updating very much. You're a couple of total assholes." Well, you'd be right on all counts, but in our defense, we've had good reason. Well, ok, a reason.
We have, as of late, been writing our asses off, and are almost done polishing the turds that we will try to pass off as material for our upcoming CD...it's coming along nicely so far. We have settled on a studio for this venture as well...we'll be working at at Stinking Cleaver Studios under the watchful eye of the mighty Jim Kane. As of yet there is no title, track order, or anything else settled on, but you've probably come to expect that kind of lackadaisical attitude from us by now. Anyway, that's what we've been busy with.
In other news we we're supposed to go see Voetsek tonight at the Slaughter House, but we're a couple of dipshits, and couldn't mobilize in time. They fucking rule, so go check that shit out. Ya know, there are a ton of really good bands in this area. Maybe that's why no one likes us? It's probably just 'cause we're awful.
If that same fucking Madonna song comes blasting out of the apartment upstairs one more time tonight, somebody's gonna die. That's not a threat...it's a promise. Ok, it's just a threat. But, like, one of those totally menacing ones that you should take serious and shit. ~ Population Reduction
