Hello. Lots of updates this week, eh? Well, it seems that some show reviews of our gig tuesday at Lucifer's Hammer, and a few other shows we did have been floating around the internet! Here are a few that are being considered for entry to a press kit at some point:

"Fucking killer and VERY WEIRD show last night. Missed the first band, whoever they were."

"Cool show last night. I missed Population Reduction as I was outside scooping my wallet through discarded bong water!"

"I missed Population Reduction, too..."

"The first band was funny. On a different night I might have been annoyed, but I was in the right mood- I was cool with the whole joke of it all. I must say, the Terrorizer cover WAS the best song they played! (as the singer admitted! No ego problems there!) Despite the fact that they were pretty much a joke, the drummer was fucking killer. Some serious raw talent there. I hope he finds a real band that matches his talent someday."

Note the absence of words and phrases such as "Shredding," "riffage," "guitar player," "songs," "lyrics," "grind-tastic" and "Sexy." Perhaps we'd be better off scoring gigs at The Improv in the future...that is, until the Doc can find a real band.

In other news, STFU and Scurvy Dogs fucking rule. That is all. ~ Population Reduction

The show last night at Lucifer's Hammer was kick ass. Sure, Vital Remains probably syphoned off a good number of people who may have otherwise showed, but we met some good folk and got two free beers a piece. What more can you really ask out of life? Both of the bands we played with totally fucking ruled too...Scorched Earth and Black Goat. Seriously ladies, go check that shit out now. Special thanks to Dan, Melissa, Mark and Jay (I think? Sorry.) for showing up, and to Matt and Brady for hooking it up.

In other news, we've updated the shows page, and added a bunch of links. We may just split that fucking thing into categories pretty soon, because it's getting a little...unwieldy, shall we say. We're on kind of a writing spree right now, so we've got a bunch of new shit for our up coming CD. Oh, and again, if anyone out there is like on DMT or something and makes the mistake of wanting to book us for anything, please don't hesitate. We have no firends, no life, and nothing better to do.

So the other thing is...uh, no, wait. Yeah, that's it. ~ Population Reduction

Well, here we are again. Just wanted to drop a quick reminder that we are playing Lucifer's Hammer tommorown night at 9pm. It's 21 and over, but it's only $5, so come the fuck on out ya'll, and we'd apprectiate it.

We've got a shit load of new material, too, some of which will be primered at the show tommorow. All of that should be on the CD, which we will commence recording on as soon as the Feds pay up. Also, we will once again be having art work done by the Venerable Becky Cloonan, artist extrordinare, and good friend. Other than that, we've got some new shit on the links page, and we may soon have some new photos up, if we get around to it. New shows will be added to the shows page later this week.

Can a shitty metal band teach you anything other than how to irritate your neighbors and become unpopular? You're goddamn right they can. We'll expect you're papers on this crazy shit by friday. ~ Population Reduction

05/05/04 ~ Show Update

Due to an internal power struggle of epic proportions between the Eight Devils of Kimon and the Tokugawa Shogunate Government, the show in Reno w/ Dog Assassin has been postponed, most likely until July. Mountain Party '04 is on. Haduken! ~ Population Reduction

These little communiques are great aren't they? No one's reading this, are they? Well, an empty room never stopped us from playing, so an absent readership won't stop us from writing. Here's the news:

Well, we're officially on for Lucifer's Hammer on May 18th, even though thier website may not reflect that. But we swear, we're there. So you should be too. Also, the info for the Reno show with Dog Assassin is a little up in the air, but it's still on...there may be some conflict with Mountain Party '04 but we'll work it out one way or another.

Sitewise, those pictures from Humboldt should be up soon(ish), and we're thinking about reorganizing (ok, it was never organized in the first place) the links page - speaking of which there are a ton of new links there, so check 'em out, and if you'd like to swap links, then drop us a line. End Transmission. ~ Population Reduction
